As part of the e-Region, our county has the means and manpower needed to make companies competitive and successful in today’s marketplace. We have strong educational systems and workforce development programs that assure the delivery of prepared, competent workers. Russell County’s three high schools graduate on average about 300 students annually. Of these, about 96 typically enter the labor force, and 204 pursue post-secondary degrees. In addition, numerous colleges and universities within a 125-mile radius of our region collectively enroll more than 75,000 students at any given time.
